Google Update 25 July 2008

This time Google Update happened after 3 months
Not so many achievements for my new blogs but many of the old blogs lost 1-2 points.
Google doesn't indexed index page of one of the most updated new blogs hosted on the blog.co.uk , cache date was one forn Juny although site:blog.co.uk/mynewblog shows all new pages.

Yahoo backlinks

When checking a domain, use:
Linkdomain:site.com –site.com , and you get one link per domain

If checking a site which is not a domain (subdomain, subpage, etc.), use:
Link:http://www.site.com –site:site.com

(notice “http…” is needed only on the ‘Link’ option)

Transfer domain from Yahoo to GoDaddy

1. Godaddy - top menu - Domain - Transfer Domains to GoDaddy
2. Enter domain name - click Go
3. Click button "Proceed to checkout"
4. No thanks. click on "Continue to checkout..."
5. 1.Public, Uncertified
2.Keep the existing nameservers on my transferring domain names as currently set at my domain registrar.
3.No thanks. I'm ready to checkout.
6. Click on "Continue"

3. I have read the Domain Transfer Agreement
I have read the Universal Terms of Service
Click on "Checkout Now"
8. Login to PayPal
9. Click on "Agree and Continue"
10. Click on "Continue to GoDaddy"
11. Click on Continue with Checkout"
12. Enter paypal address in the fild "New PayPal® Information
Please enter in a friendly name to identify"
13. Click on "Checkout now"
14. Please Enter the Access Code
15. Get Your Customer Number and Order Number (also by email)
16. Click on Domains - My domains
17. Choose Domains - Pending transfer (top menu)
18. Check domain and click on "Autorization - Begin Transfer Autorization"
19. Enter Transaction ID and Order Number that you got in paragraph 15 and click Next
20. Choose "Autorize" and click next
21. Go to Domain Control Panel
22. Click on View Your Authorization Code
23. Copy Authorization Code
24. Enter into Transfer Authorization field on GoDaddy and click "Finish"
25. Processing:
yourdomain.COM
click OK
26. After several days get confirmation by email

Fake Page Rank

Sites fake PR by looking for the Googlebot, then redirecting it to a high PR site, like Yahoo.com. Google sees that users actually land on Yahoo.com and the PR Bar in turn reflects the PR of the Yahoo.com rather than your site.

Yahoo up price for renew domains from 12.99 today to 34.99 from July 1 2008
The question is how can I move my domains from Yahoo to another more cheaper place and what are you recommendations?

Wordpress admin changing

For my opinion admin changing in the wordpress are not so comfortable
If you have multiple blogs set on one account now you links to them on the top horizontal menu and you don't see at all of then and so you don't have an access to everyone of them.
Also you don't have a link to blogroll or statistic info from the first screen as it was before.

Buying links

Check following parameters
1. Google cache date
If it's more than 2 weeks - not so good
2.Number of backlinks
3.Number of Google indexed pages
4.If the inner pages have some page rank
5.Age of site
6.If you buy multiple links preferable to buy from different IP

28 February - Google Update

It was a little strange Google update.
Very minor changes happened.
2 from my blogs lost 1 point
2 from blogs that got pr2/3/4 on inner pages on last Google update now got pr3 and pr4 on the Home Page too.
It seems as Google completed what was beginning on January.

Search keyword on the site

for example word jewelry
enter in the google serach box

When you start your own blog on wordpress

1.Choose you main keyword that will be in url of your blog
2.If you planning to buy in the future your own domain check what domain names are available. I'm doing it on Yahoo
3.In admin of your blog enter to Options->General and change Blog title and tagline
4.In Presentation->Themes choose template that you like
5.In Presentation->Widgets build your sidebar from the ready elements by droping them to the box Sidebar. Preferable to put in the sidebar such things as links, category, pages, archive
6.In Manage->Posts change the first automatically generated by wordpress post
7.In Manage->Pages change the about page with short 1-2 sentences description of your blog
8. In Manage->Category change the current cateory to general and add new categories
