1.Choose you main keyword that will be in url of your blog
2.If you planning to buy in the future your own domain check what domain names are available. I'm doing it on Yahoo
3.In admin of your blog enter to Options->General and change Blog title and tagline
4.In Presentation->Themes choose template that you like
5.In Presentation->Widgets build your sidebar from the ready elements by droping them to the box Sidebar. Preferable to put in the sidebar such things as links, category, pages, archive
6.In Manage->Posts change the first automatically generated by wordpress post
7.In Manage->Pages change the about page with short 1-2 sentences description of your blog
8. In Manage->Category change the current cateory to general and add new categories
